TROOPSTORM

Legal

Terms of use

The rules between you and us when you play Troopstorm: what you may do with the game, how the account and the Online world work, and what we promise and what we do not.

Last updated 26 October 2026 · applies to the game on PC, the Online world and this site

Draft, under review by a lawyer. The marked parts are still to be confirmed.

1. Who and what

Troopstorm (the “game”) is made and published by Cool Web Design SRL, a company registered in Romania, registered office and registration number to fill in (“we”). These terms cover the game on your PC, the Online world run on our server, and this site. By installing or playing the game you accept them. If you do not accept them, do not install or play the game.

2. Age

You must be at least 13 [to confirm with the lawyer and the stores' ratings] years old to play. If you are under 18, a parent or guardian must agree to these terms for you, and they are responsible for your use of the game.

3. Your license to play

We give you a free, personal, non-exclusive and revocable license to install the game on devices you own and to play it for your own enjoyment. The game is licensed, not sold. You may not:

  • copy, sell, rent, lend or redistribute the game, or any part of it;
  • change the game, make something from it, or reverse-engineer it, except as far as the law lets you;
  • remove or hide our notices of ownership;
  • use the game, its name or its art commercially without our written agreement. Videos, streams and reviews of the game are welcome; the press kit says what you may use.

4. The account

  • The Online world needs an account: a name and a password. One account per person. You keep the password to yourself, and you are responsible for whatever is done with the account.
  • Names and nicknames may not be offensive, hateful or misleading, may not impersonate another person, the studio or its staff, and may not break any law. We may change a name that breaks this rule.
  • The account has no email. If you lose the password, we may not be able to give the account back to you: we can only do so if you can show it is yours.
  • You can delete the account at any time: see Delete your account.

5. Fair play

The game is fair when everyone plays the same game. You agree not to:

  • use cheats, hacks, bots, scripts, modified clients or any program that plays for you or changes the game;
  • exploit a bug or an unintended behavior to gain an advantage; tell us about it instead;
  • interfere with the server, other players' connections or the game's checks;
  • harass, threaten or insult other players, or ruin the game for them on purpose;
  • sell, buy or trade accounts, dollars, gold or anything else from the game for real money.

The server replays every battle that pays and checks its result; a result that does not replay is void. If you break these rules we may warn you, void results, take back rewards, suspend the account or ban it, depending on what happened. We tell you why, unless telling you would help someone cheat.

6. Dollars, gold and everything in the game

  • Dollars, gold, trophies, cards, troops, buildings and every other thing in the game are virtual. They are not money, not property, and have no value outside the game. They cannot be exchanged for money or anything else, cannot be transferred to another account, and cannot be sold.
  • We may change the game's rules, balance, prices and content, add or remove troops and cards, reset seasons and leaderboards, and change what the virtual things do. A balance change may make something you earned weaker or stronger.
  • Purchases with real money are planned. Before the first one goes on sale, these terms will be updated with how purchases and refunds work; the rules of the store you buy from will apply too. [To write with the lawyer before purchases open.]

7. The service

  • The game on your PC works without us. The Online world depends on our server, which may be down for maintenance, updates or reasons outside our control. We do not promise that it is always available.
  • We may update the game at any time; the game installs updates itself. Some updates are required to keep playing in the Online world.
  • We may stop the Online world or the game altogether. If we do, we announce it in the game and on this site at least 30 days [to confirm] before, where we can.

8. What is ours, and what you give us

  • The game, its name, its world, characters, art, models, music loops, texts and code belong to Cool Web Design SRL or are used under license; the credits list what comes from others. The names and events in the game are fiction.
  • What you make in the game, such as a nickname or the layout of your base, stays yours. You give us a free, worldwide license to store it, show it to other players and use it in the game, for as long as your account exists.
  • If you send us ideas or feedback, we may use them freely, without owing you anything.

9. Ending

You can stop playing and delete your account at any time. We can suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, as said in section 5, or if the law requires it. When an account is closed, everything in it is gone, and we owe nothing for it.

10. No warranty, and the limits of our liability

  • The game is provided as it is. We do not promise that it is free of errors, that it runs on every PC, or that saved progress can never be lost. Keep a copy of what matters to you.
  • As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses, lost data, lost progress, or losses caused by something outside our control. Where the law does not let us exclude liability, our liability is limited to what the law allows.
  • Nothing in these terms takes away rights that the law gives you as a consumer and that cannot be waived.

11. Health warning

The game has explosions and flashing lights. A small number of people may have seizures from flashing lights, even with no history of it. If you feel unwell while playing, stop and take a break, and see a doctor before playing again.

12. Changes to these terms

We may change these terms. The new version is published here with its date, and a change that matters is announced in the game. If you keep playing after a change, you accept it; if you do not accept it, stop playing and delete your account.

13. The law and disputes

These terms are governed by the law of Romania, without taking away the protection that the law of the country you live in gives you as a consumer. Disputes go to the courts of Romania, or to the courts your consumer law lets you choose. If you are a consumer in Romania, you can also turn to the National Authority for Consumer Protection, ANPC (anpc.ro). Before any of that, write to us: most things can be settled by email.
